COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First Gold is a very popular English hop which yields an extremely moreish spicy and orangy hop aroma. This pale brown bitter is brewed using some golden naked oats which add fullness to the palate.

Bottle from the Tring brewery. Poured a clear copper colour, with a thin white head. Aroma of floral hop, forward malt and whitecurrants. Light toasted malt flavours, with some caramel and straw. Finish was gentle resin, earth and toffee.

Cask at The Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a tight, off-white, creamy head. Nice nose of berries and ripe, dry citrus, along with toasty dough and mild leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor with more toasty dough, light caramel, toasty earth and grassy bitterness, light berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish with toasted leaves, eath and grass, a bit of brown sugar, faint woody dryness. Very solid bitter. Great condition.

Fin (7691) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2012
Cask, handpump at The Horse & Groom, Caulcott, Oxon Sunday 19th August 2012 Rich reddy brown colour with a filmy white head and tight rim of bubbles, really clear looks good. Very traditonal bitter with bags of maltiness and a lasting autumnal fruitiness. Pleasant if unexceptional aroma, malty with a dark sugaryness. Good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
