Cask conditioned handpump Lord Moon Of The Mall London 05/07/13. A brown beer with a whitish head. Sweet fruity and nicely hopped. Big flavours. Lots of New World hops. Lovely balance. Big body. Really rather good. Best Tring beer ever?

Cask at The Mermaid, St Albans on 12 Jan 2013. Poured a clear chestnut, with a rocky white head. Aroma of dried fruit, caramel and floral hop notes. Sweet mango, apricot flavours, with a nice bready malt balance. Finish was chewy grain, straw and grapefruit.

Cask @ a pub in North London I can’t quite remember. Nice sessionable brown bitter, light fruit hops, teasing malts. A thirst-quencher.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’14. Copper with white head. Mid roasted malty bitter, good depth to the body, biscuity, baked breadcrust then pleasant fruity hops meander through, creeping up rather than bursting giving some decent citrus notes. Really quite pleasant.

Vladivostok (227) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2014
Mid brown in colour with, certainly in the sample I tried, a thick foaming head and as in all cask beers a low carbonation level. Initial slightly catty aroma from the American hops which soon dissipates to be replaced by a gentle malt smell. Robust palate with a distinct toffee flavour; not overly hoppy with a medium bitter finish. Pretty good.

Pours brown, Soft smooth and that’s about it, a lack of any real hoppy bite, no bitterness to speak of, a run of the mill English bitter.

Cask @ The Duke of Wellington, 26/08/13. Pours a dark amber with a good, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is caramel and fruitiness. Taste is a lot of caramel, some fruitiness. Citrus and grapefruit. More American than British hops (note: written before knowing the details of the brew). Medium, good carbonation, dry.

Cask at the Lawrence Sheriff, Rugby, 24/07/13. Clear dark amber/chestnut brown with a decent off white head. Nose is caramel, hops, toasted malt, juicy fruits. Taste comprises caramel, citrus fruit, toasted malt, orange, subtle hop presence, light tropical notes. Medium bodied, moderate to soft carbonation, dry finish with a little hop bitterness. Decent hopped up cask bitter - one to look out for.
