COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special - March 2012 (Best Of Brtish series).
The mouth coating and warming flavours of Munich malt dominate this hazelnut brown beer. A more robust bitterness is required to balance the malty character and Phoenix hops most definitely deliver

Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicester. Amber with a dirty white foam. Aromas are bready yeast and raisins with low rye bread and damp cardboard. Flavours are toast malts with hints of raisin and lemon. Cookie dough with mixed spices. Very forgettable.

Cask conditioned handpump Bell & Bear Emberton. A chestnut coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. A good malty beer. Nice fruits and bready malts in the nose. Full bodied malty, nutty flavours. Very tasty and mightily impressed with this one.

imdownthepub (10297) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2012
Cask conditioned at The Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Brown with white head. This was a pretty straight forward brown bitter. Nutty maltiness perhaps but tricky to pick anything that stands out. Just average for me.
