Cask conditioned gravity dispense Olde England Northampton 21/12/12. A dark brown coloured beer with a whitish bubbly head and lace. A wintery beer with sweet caramel notes and slightly cakey malts. Reasonable and seasonal. It’s OK.

Cask at The Anchor, Digbeth, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark copper with a thick white head. The aroma is weak and slightly metallic. The flavour is weak bitter, slightly metallic on the palate and a little watery. It lacks body and flavour. Not a classic.
