muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Mar 9, 2003 Have you ever watched a movie that started out with a BANG! an amazing first scene or two, great photography, music, performances, direction, everything riveting and gluing you to your seat, thinking, "oh my God this could be a masterpiece!" and then....as quickly as it started it falls apart? This is that movie in beer form. Very dark brown, nearly opaque, thick pour, thick small creamy head with lots of lacing, huge caramel aroma -- followed by an intensely bitter, thinnish flavor/body that completely undermines the hints of caramel that occasional waft through; at the end it has an off-milk quality that is truly repulsive. I asked the waitress if it was bad; she took a sip and said it was fine. Whatever. I wish I knew what the brewer was thinking when he created this monstrosity!
