COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with brown sugar, garam masala, torch roasted Vennetucci Farm sugar pumpkin, white sage, coriander, and grains of paradise. This version of our seasonally rotating Saison tastes like liquid pumpkin pie …. If you were in Belgium that is! 10.5% ABV.

One of the better pumpkin beers I’ve ever had. Adds some additional spice, some earthiness and some pepper to what you’d usually expect from a pumpkin beer. Picked this up in Fort Collins in 2013.

Bottle. A beautiful well carbonated hazy brown beer with a ring of off-white head. An earthy aroma with plenty of unsweetened pumpkin - I love the beers made from Vennetucci Farm pumpkins. Some sage in the body but doesn’t interfere with the well integrated pumpkin. An excellent beer.

On tap last November at Stapleton Tap House. Listed as 9.5% Pours copper brown. Aroma of burnt malts, spices and nutmeg. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of brown sugar, burnt malts, minerals, pumpkin, tobacco, cardamon, cinnamon, pepper. Overall big and bold with a wide array of spices. Re-rate mid November at Stapleton Tap House. big aroma of herbs, coriander, sage, pumpkin. flavors of sweet malts, coriander, sage, minerals, melon. Overall big and flavorful with significant spices. I think slight aging has helped and I’m upping my rating.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish purple pour with opaque, nice off white head. Aroma brings notes of coriander, cinnamon, sage, ginger, molasses, toasted pumpkin notes, mix of yeast, earth, slight herbal mint, caramel and toffee. Taste is a mix of caramel, fleshy and toasted caramel, hints of yeast, sage, coriander, ginger, clove, cardamom, cinnamon, hints of herbal, slight fruity notes as well. Very complex, but somehow it worked.

Strong pumpkin pie spices with plenty of acidic sourness. Pear and cherry Pours murky brownish amber color with long lasting fluffy white head. Malty bready flavor with sour pear like with sage and other spices. Medium bodied medium high CO2 sage spice finish. Enjoyable brew. Complex flavors blend well together. Glad to have gotten this as an XMAS present ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rich, dark, limited edition Saison, slightly maltier than others with a lactic and creamy edge to the style, very farmhouse. Still, a peppery, hoppy and bubbly ale with nice complex notes of dried fruits, tobacco and caramel. Nice interpretation, since I generally prefer the hazy gold versions. Tried at GABF 2008.
