3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap - lightly hazy pale straw color - nose of dandilion, lavender, honey, light pepper, jasmine tea - flavor is fairly sweet, with a fair amount of wildflower honey character - some of the jasmine tea from the nose - some dandelion - no noticeable brett, but there is some peppery spice on the tail end - finish is fairly sweet, with some heat that is hard to identify - might be alcohol, might not be - drinkable, but underwhelming.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Saraveza, pours an opaque cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Nose is all flowers, with Belgian yeast. Very floral - a punch in the face. Flavour is similar, with loads of floral notes. A smash in the face. Interesting stuff, but not drinkable in very high quantities. Decent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is pale straw yellow, faint haze, tons of pure white fluffy head. Nose is heavy farmhouse and pepper with a fair amount lemon and coriander. Taste loses a bit of the farmhouse, still quite peppery, strong sweetness. Lemon, touch of candied sugar, sweetness lingers on a light body and crisp assertively carbonated finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smell of flowers, fresh cut grass and brett. Flavor was young, not tart enough to balance out the floral nose and sweet honey flavor

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Head is initially average sized, foamy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy light to medium yellow, bottle conditioned.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (basement), with strong notes of lavender and other flowers, sage, alcohol (slightly fusel, bug spray), lemon zest.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Finally a Trinity beer thatís not $20-30 a bottle. Sadly itís yet another novelty saison, and unfortunately the flower additions completely dominate the aroma. Iíd like to try a classic adjunct-free saison from this guy, but so far I havenít seen one. The mouthfeel is the weakest point, being very watery, thin, and fizzy (despite being 7%). Some faint fusel taint (insecticide) in the nose (a little more apparent in the retronasal odor) is the only minor flaw I noticed. Good flavor balance, nice and quaffable. So overall itís a bit clumsy and one-dimensional with the flower onslaught, but since itís not an overly sweet banana-bomb, there is hope this brewer might have a good saison or two in him. I will continue to scroll past the myriad novelty editions and continue to hope a modestly priced classic saison shows up in bottle form someday.
