beastiefan2k (1085), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Jul 19, 2008 Growler shared by tertons, labeled as Decadedence (and yes its actually spelled this way on the menu). A nicely surprising DIPA. Very hazy, enough that one cannot see through it. Poured with no head for me. Aroma is tangerine-flowers, a very citrus yet perfume-y hops mixing, I like it a lot, original. Taste is lots of sweet citrus hops. Not bitter at all very smooth and enjoyable. This is an original profile when centered on tangerine citrus hoppiness. Highly recommended.
illinismitty (1397), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jul 29, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Pours a hazy amber orange with a white head. Medium bodied with an rich, earthy texture, creeping toward the syrupy side. Citrusy aroma with some sugary malts in the backbround. Flavor has a nice rich carmel and toffee flavored maltiness countered by a citrus and piney bitterness. Perhaps a little more sweetness than I prefer, but still darn good. My favorite of the night. jjpm74 (2878), Connecticut, USA Jul 21, 2008 Growler courtesy of Tertons. Actual name is Decadedence. Pours a murky caramel with a white head. Smells of citrus and yeasty. Tastes peppery and resiny with a semi sweet citrussy finish. IMtheOptimator (1113), Bethel, Connecticut, USA Jul 21, 2008 Poured a hazy golden with a fizzy white head. Aroma of citrusy orange, grapefruit, and tangerine hops with a touch of alcohol. Flavor is bitter grapefruit, organe, tangerine, with just a bit of malty sweetness which seems to accentuate the more original notes of the hop profile. Different than many double IPA’s I’ve had, and easily the best offering I’ve had from this brewhouse. hopdog (4525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 14, 2007 On tap at the Trinity Brew Pub. Imperial version of thier IPA brewed for their 10th anniversary. Poured a deeper orange color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of citrus (oranges), floral with some malts. Tastes of oranges, grapefruits with a sweet caramel finish. Nicely balanced. Enjoyable and I’m glad I was able to try it!
