COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jamaican Jerk Beer. Jamaican "jerk" blends well the cultural origins and traditional cooking methods of many indigenous peoples native to the Caribbean. A Spice blend most famous for the heat it brings from scotch bonnet peppers also the ever famous all-spice. This ale turned out spicy hot but also reminiscent of a winter/Christmas beer. We know you will like it.

Copper in color with a slightly spicey aroma. Really interesting jerk spice flavors and still quite palatable.

(draft 8/16/10). Clear amber color. Medium off white head. Spicy black pepper aroma. Flavor of the same, with moderate yeast character. Avg duration. Moderate spicy finish, with light alcohol. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

On tap during 2011 Craft Lager Fest. Slightly hazy copper orange without much head. Smelled of earthy amber malts and light earthy toffee. Taste had a lot of earthy caramel, biscuit, and cracker, ending somewhat dry. Some wheat tones as well, but faint. Just an earthy amber lager with subtle complexity and mild bitterness.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2011 Taster at brewery. Looks like light orange. Smells of spices and goodness. Definitely need to drink more of this style but overall a very tasty beer Overall 7.5 of 10.

Sampler at the brewpub. Pours a thin head, over a clear amber (SRM 7) body.....nose is heavy ginger.....taste is banana, ginger, allspice, light bitter finish, with a mild gradually building heat....mouth fee on the light of medium, carbonation low. This is an interesting experiment in a spice beer. The ginger is a dominant.Tasting of 08/22/2010 BJCP 6/3/12/4/6

12 ounce sample at the brewpub. Dusty, yeasty esters present in the nose with a slight sweetness. Rather herbal with some spiciness too. Transparent amber-copper body with a small, whitish head. Good lacing. Starts sweet, followed by some yeast esters. Some caramelly notes are also in the middle. Finishes with a spicy, peppery, ginger-like flavoring. Nice spicy kick at the end. This is tasty, and is reminiscent of Anderson Valley Winter Solstice, only with more spicy character. The best beer I had at the brewpub.

Tap at the brewpub, new offering from Trinity, came out the evening I was there! Aroma is a malt and very light spices. Poured an amber tone with a light cream head. The notes of JERK spices were not as present as one would have expected, although they were felt in the back of throat lightly. A much lighter flavor than expected overall.

Tap at the brewpub, tasted as part of a flight. New offering from Trinity, might have come out the night I was there! Aroma is a mix of strong spices and underlying sweet malts. Clear dark amber with a short-lived cream-colored head. Wild flavors of pepper (oddly enough not chiles, pepper pepper), sweet malt, and TONS of All-spice. Good balance of alcohol heat with the big flavors, medium body and a relatively clean finish considering the basis of the brew. Crazy, but not bad!

Tap. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy, light creamy head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is spicy herbs, caramel malt, clean lager yeast, corn and vegetable notes, fruity with notes of cinnamon, coriander, and pepper. Flavor is malty, sweet, lightly spicy, clean lager, corn notes, and light bitterness. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, and a dry finish.
