hopdog (4415), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 14, 2007 On tap at the Trinity Brew Pub. Poured a deeper brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, and smoke. Tastes of the same. Smokey. kramer17801 (1846), sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 10, 2007 Draft pint at brewpub. Pours a clear mahogany brown under a dense nitrogenated one inch light brown head. Aroma is light roast and some dry roasted coffee. Just a light hint of hops. Flavor is light roast and coffee with a minimal hoppiness. Finish is short and leans toward being nutty in character. Mouthfeel is classic nitro feel with a little more watery body than I’d like. Overall, an average Irish Stout that caters to the Guinness crowd. IMtheOptimator (1100), Bethel, Connecticut, USA Jul 4, 2005 Poured black with a creamy brown head... no complaints here. Roasty sweet aroma. Taste is dry with a heavy roasted coffee flavor. Better body than I expected for an Irish stout. Good. dirtymike (2019), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jul 26, 2004 Dark brown almost black in color with a tan head. aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Flavors of toasted and roasted malt with a bitter dry finish. vw_steggie (684), Paxton, Massachusetts, USA Apr 26, 2004 Had this on tap at the brewery. Has a very dark brown color with a thick tan head. Smell is of roasted malts. Taste is also of roasted malts/coffee with medium body and finishes with a moderate bitterness. Overall a very good stout that I took home in a growler.
