RomanW70 (280), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Feb 1, 2008 Updated: Feb 9, 2008I have to admit, I was a little disappointed in this one. It was described as a Marzen with notes of toffee and spices. I didn’t tatse it. It had a deep caramel color with a one finger, fluffy head. The aroma was a muddled combination of sweet malts and hops. The malts and hops did not balance each other nicely. I think there’s a good beer in there waiting to get out, but this batch missed the mark. dirtymike (2019), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jul 26, 2004 Copper in color with a small white lacing around the rim. Sweet malt aroma with mild toasted malt. Sweet malt dominates with faint hop flavor in the backkground. vw_steggie (684), Paxton, Massachusetts, USA Apr 26, 2004 Had this on tap at the brewery. Has a nice amber color with a small head and little carbonation. Smell is of sweet malt. Taste is very malty, medium body and smooth with little bitterness. Overall a very good beer thats easy to drink.
