Trinity Marzen

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed in this one. It was described as a Marzen with notes of toffee and spices. I didn’t tatse it. It had a deep caramel color with a one finger, fluffy head. The aroma was a muddled combination of sweet malts and hops. The malts and hops did not balance each other nicely. I think there’s a good beer in there waiting to get out, but this batch missed the mark.

Copper in color with a small white lacing around the rim. Sweet malt aroma with mild toasted malt. Sweet malt dominates with faint hop flavor in the backkground.

Had this on tap at the brewery. Has a nice amber color with a small head and little carbonation. Smell is of sweet malt. Taste is very malty, medium body and smooth with little bitterness. Overall a very good beer thats easy to drink.
