What is this crazy shit? A 4.5% saison with spelt and Brett and pumpkin and spice? Sounds like a disaster in the making. And yet... bright yellow pour with one finger of rocky white head. Nose shows lemongrass, a garden herb blend, lavender, and some lemony citrus. Taste adds a peppery element and a tartness. Dry and refreshing. Hell yeah. Thanks, Ethan.

Bright lemon rind pour with one finger of crackling white head. Herbal nose with notes of lavender and lemongrass and an ephemeral acidity. Spicy/peppery flavor with lavender and a musty herbal character. Tart and spicy on the finish. Light dry.

At Avery Sour Ale Fest 2013. Hazy golden with a thin bubbly white head. Nose is very floral with perfumey dandelions and hibiscus on the nose. Flavor hits the dandelion note a little hard, alongside some eccentric bretty dryness. Very full but very dandelion-y.

Lemon-lime Gatorade powder all over the nose. Soured oaky yeast, grass & earth, some sweet malt + spice as it finishes. Solid.

Lots of retained head. The brett is potent in the aroma, and the taste. Lovely done, tasty saison. Very good drinkability. FlandersNed.

Thanks to the kind soul who brought this to the Thursday pre-Hunaupu tasting. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is grain with yeast, funk, brett pineapple, brett barnyard, pumpkin seeds, earthy spices, and some mild floral notes. Flavor is huuuuuuge brett- brett pineapple, brett funk, brett barnyard, and some spice, yeast, and sweet malt. Medium in body and very interesting for the style. This one is fourth dimensional when it comes to depth.

Cloudy pale yellow pour with a white head. Really nice lemon aroma. Quite tart with some pepper spiciness, nice floral qualities, grass, and some sweet bread. Nice funky flavor to this. The lavender is pretty well pronounced, lots of tart lemon, mild malt flavor, and some grass. Good peppery spice, some orange peel, and a dry finish.

Pours light peach from a bottle with a small soapy head. Nose is really brett forward, kind of wet pavement, chewy vitamins, and light sulfur. Mouth is oddly integrated despite a weird, sort of unpleasant collage of flavors. Lots of those chewy Flintstone vitamin things, sulfur powder, metal, wet stone. However, fairly tight, at least these unpleasant flavors are refined. Feel is good, sharp and fizzy upfront and soft and washing throughout. Overall I don’t like it very much.
