3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden with a white head. The aroma and flavor of this beer are all about the sourness. I get a lot of acetic sour notes as well as some tart lemon, barnyard and yeast notes. There is also a hint of peach. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice sour beer. Glad I got to try it.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a deep brown rusty color with a touch of ruby color on the edge. No visible bubble or head. Aromas are tart cherry, earthy funk and some vinous cider vinegar. On the palate its sour and very acidic. A bit to much vinegar comes through making this a palate wrecker, mouth puckering beer thats good for a sip or two but overall a bit to acidic for my palate. Maybe a touch more sweetness and a little carbonation would liven it up. The wild flavors are all there I just wish they were a lil more subtle.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
In short: An intense vinegary fruity ruby ale. Bad
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed when approximately 8 months of age, bottle sent to me by adnielsen, not your fault Aaron
The look: Cloudy dull dark ruby topped by an off-white ring of foam
In long: Nose is some kind of fruity vinegar, some oak and notes of honey. Taste is balsamic vinegar, cherry juice, lime juice, oak tannins, sour grapes, red-wine gone which is developing port flavors,. Body is thick juicy and with sparse lifeless carbonation. I kept lowering my score the more I drank it and I couldnít finish my bottle. This is a beer to share at tastings (if you donít like your tasting buddies) because drinking a full bottle of this thing is most likely humanly impossible. But even a major disappointment like this cannot ruin my whole day, thanks to my Attention Deficit Disorder it can ruin only ruin 10 or 15 minutes of my day tops.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This showed up at a tasting last weekend. I was shocked and awed, as Iíve been wanting to try this beer since I first heard of it. Thanks Colin!
Bottle 161-10 Barrel NBB3
This beer is a light brown color and appears pretty clear. There is virtually no head or lace. I think the sour monster scared them away, or worse. This beer is fantastically sour. Wow. It is reminiscent of a Flanders Oud Bruin, but vastly more tart. There are some nice woody notes in there, as well. Lip smacking, puckering, cringing sour goodness. Obviously, the finish is pretty acetic with some vinegar notes. What a cool experience. One of the sourest beers I have ever had. I donít think the review scores do this beer justice. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys sour and wild ales.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
25 oz bottle. Opens without even a small hint at carbonation. Pours a clear dark brown body with virtually zero head, just a thin ring of small bubbles. The nose is quite sharp and acetic smelling with a little sour cherry and a nice light woodiness. The flavor is straight up acid burn from front to back. It irritates the esophagus all the way down to the belly. Thereís a little bit of similarity to Rodenbach Vin de Cereal in that way. I donít think thereís a chance in hell I can finish this bottle by myself. Iím going to have a heck of a time finishing 6 ounces. Flat mouthfeel with a sharp drying and biting acidity. Iím a fan of sour ales, but this is horrible.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
750ml bottle that was completely flat. Like, Lost Abbey flat...Dark brown color with a smell that let me know this was going to be sour, it smelled quite awesome. The flavor was intensely sour, possibly the sourest beer I have ever had, just vicious. It had a nice brettiness and apples and a bit of vinegar but really just an onslaught of sour. If this was carbonated it would probably be a better beer because it certainly isnít worth the $24.
