COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We love brewing bold and intense beers, and coming off our recent gold medal for a Belgian inspired flanders we thought it was time to switch gears and go overboard with hops. Slap Your Mammy is a shocking Double IPA! Coming in at 10-10.5 % ABV this huge ale is brewed with 7 of the highest quality malts and 8 varieties of hops! On our 125 minute boil we pack in 125 IBU’s, making this one of the hoppiest beers ever brewed in the world. If that not enough hops, then just wait! Unlike any of our other beers, we dry hop this one twice to pack in as much aroma as possible! A truly shocking Double IPA for all you Hopophiles!

Pours a dark gold with a big billowy head that gives way to thick lacing. Nice light citrus aroma with hints of pineapple and bubblegum. Taste is big and bitter pine with a lasting bubblegum aftertaste. Dry on the mouth and sticks around.

Pours hazy orange-yellow with white head, aroma has big notes of citrus, pine, resinous hops with some sweet caramel, toffee, some biscuit and hints of spice in there as well. Taste is nice big bitter pine and grass, hints of lemon, tangerine and orange lead into caramel and biscuity notes, finishing bitter and slightly dry. No sign of alcohol, nicely done.

Floral hop aroma. Golden in color with a white head. Seriously hoppy and light bodied. Just hops...attacks your enamel.

Hazy orange. Big floral nose with lots of bitter citrus. Palate is great-lots of citrus peel without being overly bitter. Very lingering finish. This is on cask, so i’m not sure if more bitterness comes through on tap, but for me, this version is great.

750 ml bottle bought from the brewery and opened into sniffer in San Diego. Beautiful double ipa! Smells full of sweet fruity citrus hops. Tastes pretty strong bitterness and medium thickish bodied but rather smooth on the palate. There is so much great hoppiness going on in this brew. Overall 9 of 10.

750ml bottle. Rating #27. Hazy golden orange color with a very small white. Nice hoppy aroma, slight oxidation. Light flavor, juicy, medium bitterness, not bad. (1850)

Growler thanks to womencantsail. Pours with a small white head with a clear golden-orange body. Aromas of orange, floral, citrus, and some caramel. Flavors of tea, citrus, floral, bitter, malty, and some wheat. A bit astringent in the finish. Lively bubbles, dry mouthfeel.

A: The beer pours a burnt orange color with a couple fingers of white head and some nice lacing. S: A really dank hop aroma. Intense floral and citrus hops with a really oily pine note. Good grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, and pineapple with a mild bread note and some toasted malts underneath. T: Really resinous and oily pine provides a rather intense bitterness. Lots of citrus fruits too, primarily grapefruit and tangerine, but there is a nice floral quality to it as well as a touch of grass. M: Medium in body with a moderate level of carbonation. O: So many different hop characteristics here that none of them really dominated. Pretty solid stuff.

Copper with a small white head. Pine and citrus hops dominate the aroma along with a bit of caramel malt. Flavor is the same. A good, but not great IPA.
