4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Had it on tap/cask at Trinity.
Right away the aroma tells u itís gonna be a good time, part dank, part punany, all the hops. Pours a deep orange hue with a thin white lasting head. The aroma and taste are what a IPAs should be. The taste is so fín smooth, itís smoove!! The taste belies its powerful 10.5 ABV, and did I say smoove! Makes me want to slap my daddy as well.

This is a really great double IPA. Very well balanced for a double. The weight of the beer sneaks up on you. Very good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy golden amber with a fizzy white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like citrus hops, resin, caramel, grapefruit, booze, and musky malt. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like grapefruit, citrus hops, caramel, and musky grains.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Mix of floral and piney hops. Taste is very dry and bitter. Hops very dominant. Very piney resinous finish. Feel like i am chewing on hops. Needs a bit more malt balance. This may be my least favorite Trinity beer yet. Mostly I am impressed with their offerings. Just way way too bitter, but with what feels like a saison body base... Light and not malty. So lacks balance.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL bottle, sent from robloc303 (thanks a lot, Rob), pours a clear dark orange with a tiny head - seems flat. Nose of dry citrus hops, some pine, some wild fruitys, and biscuity malt. Flavour seems like a double wild IPA, with notes of tropical fruits, caramel malts, some resinous hops, and syrupy residual sweetness. Solid stuff, but not my kind of IIPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Trinity. Pours hazy copper orange with fine white head. Decent retention and thin lacing. Aroma is strong hops, bitter, piney, resinous, citrus and floral. Flavor is strong citrus and piney hops fading smoothly into a nutty, sweet malt finish. Resinous and citrus hop aftertaste. Surprisingly balanced and much better than expected. Alcohol is well hidden. Soft carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture, mildly oily finish. Pleasantly surprised by this one, though I wouldnít pay for a bottle. A tasty, malty DIPA.
