4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 Beaver (1063) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 2, 2013
750 ml bottle, bottle number 198/12 (I think). Pours hazy copper orange with a monstrous rocky off-white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is big sugary tropical fruits with some dank hops and pine.
The flavor is sweet tropical fruits with a lot of piney dank bitterness. There’s a bit of warming from the alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, an excellent DIPA. Slightly too sweet and alcoholic (and pricey at $17 a bottle).

Bottle thanks to the Dood! Pours a near clear butterscotch with an egg shell white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of resinous pine with a bit of sweet grains. Flavor has the same resinous pine with sweet grains and grass in the finish.

Bottle at my parents with my dad. Pour is hazy amber with a fluffy cream head and great lacing. Sweet caramel, tropical fruits, pineapples, mango, papaya, light grass, orange peel, and bread in the aroma. Taste is not up-to-par with the aroma - stale hops, light cardboard, somewhat earthy, spicy hops, orange peel, and bread with a medium bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel with high carbonation. Very well-hidden alcohol, but this one isn’t the freshest. Decent, but nothing special.

On tap at Trinity Brewing in Colorado Springs, and more later at home via bottle numbered 481 poured into a Trinity "Kill the Pint Glass" snifter. Pours a beautiful cloudy burnt amber with medium head/lacing. A touch of citrus, a heavy double dose of hops, and so freakin' smooth! I love this!

People just naturally assume that dogs would be incapable of working together on some sort of construction project. But what about just a big field full of holes?
