Commercial Description:
We love brewing bold and intense beers, and coming off our recent gold medal for a Belgian inspired flanders we thought it was time to switch gears and go overboard with hops. Slap Your Mammy is a shocking Double IPA! Coming in at 10 % ABV this huge ale is brewed with 7 of the highest quality malts and 8 varieties of hops! On our 125 minute boil we pack in 125 IBU’s, making this one of the hoppiest beers ever brewed in the world. If that not enough hops, then just wait! Unlike any of our other beers, we dry hop this one twice to pack in as much aroma as possible! A truly shocking Double IPA for all you Hopophiles!

Had at All Colorado Beer Festival. Color is yellow orange with no head. Big floral aroma of hops with alcohol in smell and taste. Nose is also light citrus. Flavor is boozy and hoppy. Very floral and earthy. End leaves mouth wet. Abrupt finish.

Had at the All Colorado Beer Festival in Colorado Springs on 11/7/09. Color is a hazy gold with good carbonation and a average head. Aroma is a huge hop scent with bold citrus tones. Starting with a full body it goes down with a sharp crisp feel. Finish is like the aroma with big hop flavors that are dominated by citrus (big grapefruit) and a touch of malt. After taste is more citrus and some pine. This is a well done Double IPA, it just has way too much citrus for my taste.

Draught. Pours hazy orange with an average, rocky white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, cereal, meal), heavy hop (flowers, pine, citrus), average yeast (sweat, musty) with notes of peach and apricot. Full bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.
