COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Simple, yet complex… This ale showcases malts of caramel and chocolate. Built to be a session beer for true malt heads. Note: The true style of this brew is a Horkey and the brewer is adamant that this be known. They have used special Belgian malts in it so this is why it is listed as a Specialty Grain.

Tap at Trinity. Pours a clear brown with thin white head. Settles quickly with thin lacing. Aroma is intensely malty, toffee, nutty, caramel, biscuit/cracker. Flavor is nutty, toasted, toffee, biscuit, with a mildly bitter finish. Nice showcase of malt flavors, interesting. Not sure why it is being classified as a traditional ale. Soft carbonation and light body. A tasty, very malty beer.

On tap at brewery poured a dark brown hue w/ thin beige head and excellent lacing. Average aromas of lightly roasted malts and grain. Initial flavor is a mild sweet and a faint bitter finish. Tastes are cocoa, toast, malt, light lemon. Drink this instead of a cola. Light bodied despite the dark hue, watery mouthfeel, average carbonation and a crisp finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark reddish brown pour with off white head, aroma brings notes of molasses, toffee, dark fig, raisin, hints of earth and yeasty notes. Taste is nice, some hints of earth, caramel, molasses, raisin, fig, some red ripe fruits, hints of earth yeast, finishing spicy and sweet. Interesting and enjoyable.
