Naka (520), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2009 Pours clear golden color with a small foamy white head. Aroma of sweet vanilla, clove, slightly rubbery banana, and a lemony citrus. The taste is unbelievably smooth. The clove sweetness comes through huge with a nice bitterness to balance. A subdued fruitiness to it. Not really clear what fruit, but kind of artificially. A great balance to it. Lacking in carbonation, but very quality body. A spicy semi-dry finish. drewaha (11), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 29, 2009 One of my favorite tripels...citrusy, refreshing. Goes great with most any food. hirigalzkar (400), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 28, 2009 Draught @ Cafe Duvel. Bottle. Golden, big white creamy head. A little of everything really. Sugar and spice and all things nice... citrus, vanilla, caramel, orange... all in perfect balance. Very smooth. Plamadude30k (93), , Arizona, USA Jun 28, 2009 Pours a light yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is of yeast and lemon. Flavor is strongly lemon and honey with some background malts and fruits curly (412), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jun 25, 2009 Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Lemon and yeast aroma. Pleasantly sweet taste of lemon and spices. HAMnJAM (6), Florida, USA does not count Jun 24, 2009 I just bought a single 11.2 oz. bottle for $5.69. Not inexpensive but I think worth every penny. Very good and 8.1%!
MennoO (81), Haarlem, Netherlands Jun 21, 2009 bottle, one of my old-time favourites, altough from the tap this is a lot better, from bottle it’s still pretty good; golden medium misty liquid with medium head. fruity wel balanced, alcohol well masked a tad bit sweet, but excellent nonetheless. well above average belgian tripel.
