UPDATED: NOV 4, 2011 Bottle and draught tasted at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Slightly hazy yellow / golden color, huge white head. Smell lightly bitter with a slight hint of sourness. Average, ordinary taste: some bitterness, alcohol and slightly fruity. Expected it to be better. Way too much carbo. Medium body.

Klar och gyllengul med lite skum. Doftar söt frukt och lite alkohol. I smaken känns den söta torra frukten som balanseras väl av alkoholstyrkan så att den inte blir för söt. Bör nog ha lagrats längre. Samtidigt en lite syrlighet som är positiv.

Decent beer, not a big fan of the whole banana, bubblegum. But this beer was very balanced. Notes of hay, floral, banana, bubblegum and some coriander.

Looks like champagne. Doesn’t taste like champagne. Smooth. Tons of head, this was challenging to pour.. Not too spicy. I like this a lot.

Poured a slightly hazy yellow color with a medium sized stable foamy head. Strong aroma of lemons, yeast, and herbal hops. Taste is very crisp and dry. Quite spicy with coriander and pepper. Lots of grain flavors with some wheat. Some slight tartness with apples and lemons. Finish has a perfect amount of hops that give it a nice clean aftertaste. Carbonation is slightly too much. Aftertaste also has some interesting yeast flavors that add to the complexity. Overall a really nice beer.

Bottle from Uttobeer. Pours perfect amber and surprisingly is pretty clear. Nose is the best I’ve ever had on a Tripel. Deep fruity malty and yeasty. Lemon and orange peel, lighter touches of strawberry and raspberry. Lemonade and lemon sherbert sweetness. Taste is slightly disappointing. Yeast, bit of lemon and spice. Sour bitterness on the finish. Fairly crisp and not too much complexity.

Bière blonde dorée, col généreux, toutefois éphémère. Ça sent la bière belge en un peu plus complexe, j’y détecte une odeur de céréales; sucrées et d’agrumes. Ça goûte l’alcool, les céréales auxquelles on a rajouté du miel, avec une amertume discrète et soutenue. Un goût du vieux continent.

Pours light gold with a big head. Sweet, with a lot of fruit on the tongue, especially strawberries. Nice and malty and I picked up a touch of walnut in the pleasantly bitter finish. Wouldn’t think it was 8% - excellent beer.
