JanEric (167), Meppel, Netherlands Apr 28, 2009 Bottle 33 cl. Creamy head, Aroma a bit yeasty. Teastes spicey, a little sweet. Finish bitterly, long, tasteful. savnac (394), Palmer, Alaska, USA Apr 25, 2009 On tap. Yeasty earthy aroma. Light gold with barely a head. The flavor is sweet and sour with a typical Belgian yeasty flavor. Hints of fruit and spice round out the complex flavor. Medium to light bodied with an average carbonation. A very good Tripel that is incredible light and smooth for its alcohol content. halfonit (423), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Apr 17, 2009 I’ve been eying this one for a while now and finally decided to try it out. Has a nice foggy light golden color. Smell is full of malty hops. Hints of barley, yeast, and citrus. Has a citrus and malt flavor. Not too carbonated. Some yeast in the flavor. A little bite in the end that is nothing else but pleasant. Overall this was a good choice. floydian1 (257), FNQ, Australia Apr 16, 2009 33cl bottle into tulip glass. A cloudy golden ale with a decent white head and nice lacing. Spicy warming yeasty aromas with orange peel predominating. Full bodied with complex flavours of honey malt, oranges and spicy/perfume hops with a very satisfying dry bitterness to the finish. Very well integrated with a smooth drinkability despite the ABV. I have not tasted a better Belgian Abbey ale than this. gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway Apr 11, 2009 Bottle. Golden- orange colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, citrus, banana, malt, spices. Flavour is fruit, malt, citrus, banana, spices, alcohol. Full bodied nice beer. MitchWayne (264), Kokkola, Finland Apr 10, 2009 One of the best tripels ever, no doubt. Fruity, spicy and yeasty, full bodied and just world class. wkalle (110), Sweden Apr 10, 2009 Pours crystal amber with large white long lasting head nicely lacing. Refreshing spicy and yeasty aroma with a sweet malty flavor combined with a complex spicyness. Full body with a sweet and rather sour finish. dionysus (95), Arizona, USA Apr 10, 2009 On tap @ Deluxe. Pour was gold with 2 fingers of a nice white head. The aroma is that of an orchard plentiful in apples, strawberry, and some citrus. The taste starts off with a lot of fruit and follows through with a nice spicy/yeasty finish. Overall mouthfeel is pretty light but not flimsy. A very easy drinking beer and quite refreshing!
