Classic Belgian yeast, clover like and a light hop floral aroma. Color was golden, with a creamy low carbonation head. Flavor had mostly clover, with some ripe apple and perhaps even pineapple. Palate was creamy with a light alcohol tinge at the finish. Good stuff, but not spectacular.

Shared by a friend of Bobby91W at DLD--Matt maybe? From a 3 liter bottle that was ’95 vintage I believe. This was reallyy incredible. Soft yellow pour. The aroma was light with yeast, and caramel scents as well as a bit of lemon. Really refreshing flavor. Lightly sweet fruits, apples, pears, with a hint of citrus. Great brew!

This by far to this date is the best damn triple I have ever had sampled at DLD from a gaint bottle from some generous soul poured yellow and hazy with tight carbonated head of a million bubbles aromas of banana,,spices, citrus and malts the taste was sweet from all of the above just a truely out standing triple

Is there a better tripel than this? Not for me. Straw color, fluffy head, banana/clove in the nose, great sweet candy flavor, and tons of good alcohol.

The pour is extremely carbonated, straw-to-golden, with lots of rather thin foam. It diminishes to a finger, then to a film, but leaves decent lacing as it goes. The first smell reminds me strongly of Westmalle, with really nice round ripe fruit (lychee or peach perhaps, with some citrus zest) and some peppery spice. Very effervescent. As it calms down, there’s some herbal/grassy and some hay-like notes in there, but the fruit from the yeast dominates. In the mouth, it is round and full at first, with the ripe fruit from the aroma, almost like a sweet white wine; then, you feel the carbonation, and perhaps a bit of leafy hop astringency. The bitterness is assertive, definitely enough to dry out the flavour. It strikes a nice balance between sweet and bitter, fruit and spice, roundness and effervescence, what have you. Worth the price of admission.

330 ml bottle. Clear golden with a big, foamy white head. Aroma is citric fruity, spicy and floral. Flavor is sweet, relatively light, but still complex. Malt, citric fruit, spicy and balanced bitter. Very nice indeed.

On tap. Yeasty earthy aroma. Light gold with barely a head. The flavor is sweet and sour with a typical Belgian yeasty flavor. Hints of fruit and spice round out the complex flavor. Medium to light bodied with an average carbonation. A very good Tripel that is incredible light and smooth for its alcohol content.
