33 cL bottle: Appearance is golden brown with minimal white head. Aroma is of spices, yeast and some malt. Flavor is very distinct in spices with an added pine like flavor that really set this one apart from other Belgian beers.

Date: July 30, 2011 Mode: Bottle Source: Lucia’s, St. Paul, MN Appearance: Orangish gold with large amount of head. Aroma: Citrus and yeast. Flavor: Consistent with aroma, little bit of alcohol, slight carbonation. Other: After the La Trappe Quad, this was kind of a let down, a good beer but just did not do much for me.

Pours cloudy-gold with a nice head and lacing. Taste balances well between malt and bittering. Clean and refreshing, worth seeking out.

Whole Foods Market, DC 75cl ($11): Pours a fizzy golden color with a prodigious white head. Aroma is spicy from the corianders, very fruity, banana, a couple hops, and pepper. Taste is pretty much up the same alley. It is a little funky, moderately sweet, and the carbonation digs the taste into your mouth all proper like. Some citrus and the finish is rather much on the dry side. I thought it was a good beer, but then again I like tripels.

Test vom 14.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

One of the most refreshing big beers ever made--works as well in the summer as it does in the winter. Aroma is bready with a citrus twang. Appearance is a cloudy hay color with a boomer of a head. Taste is refreshing but full. Excellent balance for the palate--not too malty or hoppy. Just right. Overall this beer is a real treat.

To much koriander!!!!!!! Sweet blond triple, not my kind of beer. Heard it has much more koriander aroma and taste then in the early years. I think it had to much attention and it becomes to commercial!

Not my type of beer at all. I found it to be light, uninteresting, over carbonated. I really don’t know where people come up with some of the accolades they give this beer.
