Bottle at grünerløkka brygghus.
Hazy golden body, big white head. Sweet aroma with honey, caramel malt and apples. Taste is also pretty sweet, with more caramel, yeast and several fruits. Body feels very thick, and the bitterness is nice.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 patricks110 (814) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 7, 2011
Pour - bright golden yellow body looks almost like champagne. A thick two or three fingers of dense white head. Tons of carbonation.
Aroma - sweet and fruity with a predominant lemon fruit and light spicyness and light bread malts. No hops or alcohol detected on the nose
Taste - the middle is sweet and the lemon taste comes through huge with a tangy and lasting lemon almost akin to lemon pledge cleaner. The malts are light and sweet with a subtle spice blend of cloves and coriander.
Palate - incredibly silky smooth texture with medium body and good carbonation.
Overall, one of the best tripels around and that lemon taste is outstanding.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Palme (1200) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 3, 2011
0.33l bottle. Pours a clear champagne-golden body with a medium sized off-white creamy head. Aroma is yeasty and sweet with notes of nice sweet dried fruits, spices and candy-sugar. Lively to aggressive carbonation, full-bodied and has a oily to sticky texture. Tastes really nice with Belgian yeast, light malts, sweet candy-sugar and has a good bitter and light spicy finish with a longlasting warming, almost burning alcohol-note in the aftertaste. Really nice tripel.
5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 Hellzat (1) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 30, 2011 does not count
I am not usually a fan of Triples, but this doesn’t taste like a regular triple and has to be one of the best tasting beers I have had to date. Definitely ’case-worthy’

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BeerBaboon (846) - FINLAND - JUN 22, 2011
Olut on kullankeltainen ja sen valkoinen vaahto on runsas. Tuoksu on huumaavan hedelmäinen, simainen ja hunajainen. Maultaan olut on hieman kirpeä, hedelmäinen ja aavistuksen mausteinen.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 mcdalough (21) - Illinois, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Drank a glass of this from tap at Monk’s Pub on 6-17-11. Been a short while so I don’t remember it too vividly. But this was a great beer. The three grains worked well together, providing a full satisfying mouthfeel. Color was great and the head retention was very nice. I remember the lemon character strongly, which accented the complex malt character. I remember flavors of medium honey and some yeasty character as well. Also had some very nice fruity ester character. Wonderful brew that I should revisit sometime.
