Very fresh scent. Poured gold/yellow in color with a medium-sized, foamy, white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of fresh hops, pale malts, grass, grains, pollen, and flowers. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Hoppy, grainy, finish. 8%ABV is undetectable. Very easy to drink. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Very nice Belgian Blond Beer. Great Color and Aroma. Have had several times before. Better on tap, however, still very good in a bottle. Does not have the feel of an 8% beer. Wynne (22), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Aroma is moderate and complex, like a typical Belgian blond base with a whole second layer over top. Appearance is a nice thick gold, but it looks a little musty. Very light-tasting on the surface, with sunflower seed, refreshing yellow pear, very soft wheat and yeast, oat, hops, grain. Some very faint citrus and vanilla. Found myself very disappointed when the bottle was empty. Will definitely and gladly buy more. LordCrabapple (83), Merseyside, England

Well, I have a bottle of it from some years ago, which is 8.0% and new bottles of 8.4%. I presume I am imagining it to be sweeter than it was (but unlike many I don’t see this as a bad thing...on the contrary....). This is a delicious beer, and I feel I have been harsh on it, but I have to travel a long way to get it now. Why have strong Belgian beers all but disappeared from our supermarkets? A joy to drink, I recommend it. Cheerio! homeslice (36), , California, USA

It had an awesome glass too! It was a hazy golden yellowish color with a white head that held pretty well. Don’t have many notes on flavor and aroma, but I certainly recommend this brew.
