Large soft frothy white head on top of a clear light golden body. Spicey lemon aroma. Smooth medium mouthfeel, not real complex but several flavours there, oily, lemons, oats, a hint of peach, sweet malt and a touch of warming alcohol at the end.

I found this beer on Tap at the BXL resturant in NYC. Yellow collor. Nice aroma. Not a lot of head on it.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear light orange in color with a head bubbly in texture, gigantic in size, and sticky in its falling. Very funky nose with bright fruit aromas, whiffs of alcohol, along with a hints of yeast and pepper. A Tripel just loaded with flavors. Very complex, funky, farmy, yeasty flavors loaded with fruit flavors. A sensational beer.

Seved in a Tripel Karmeliet tulip glass. Has a caramel, almost banana aroma to it. An amber color with a heavy, frothy white head that practically bursts from the glass - absolutely beautiful. Moderately sweet with a slightly bitter aftertaste on the back of your tounge. Medium body with a creamy texture and a long finish, lasting minutes after your last sip.

Frothy yet creamy head, beautiful beer! Soap and citrusy nose. Soapy front with a sweet, long finsh. Soft, oily & medium bodied. My local co-op serves this beauty in a 12oz and 750ml. Flying Pie Pizza probably taps a keg now and then.

Brewed with oats (in this puppy, ’tripel, means three grains-oats, barley and wheat), this is far more acidic than the usual tripel--which makes it a great change of place for an Acidic Jew like myself. Great glass (chalice with frosted glass on the sides).

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 1, 2005 Not a big fan after first try from the bottle, but had it from the tap at Monks Cafe in Philadelphia and my opinion quickly changed. Very carbonated with a large white foamy head and palate. Bubbly caramel color with light, fresh, fruity flavor. Glad I had the draft.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a fun beer. Something different to be sure. Really complex malt flavors come through with some yeast in the aroma as well. Not a lot of hops here. This is a good one to try to really illustrate some interesting malt characteristics.

Bottle. Very fruity aroma, clove, apricot? Almost clear, golden colour. Big white head, quite creamy. Flavour is dominated by clove and alcohol. Starting off sweetly, turning into an elegant dryness with a little bitter aftertaste. Nice mouthfeel, smooth bubble texture.
