Appearance pours beautiful golden to amber honey body colour, carbonation of the body is soft, body texture is murky and very blurred, head is white, initially huge, slowly decreasing to small, very firm, leaving a nice lacing, really beautiful beer,
Aroma very pleasant, perfectly sweet, flowery hoppy front, notes of sweetness from highly aromatic hops denoting iris flowers, coriander, vanilla, raisin, whipped cream, for sure there are those three grains present such as wheat, barley and oat, banana, gently leavy hops, a perfect combination of an aroma of a good and assertive Wheat Beer with its coriander, orange peal and perfumy hoppyness together with mature, oily, wheaty, leavy and herbal Abbey Tripel profile,
Flavour front is sweet with flowery boom in your nose, especially iris flowers, than coriander, clove, ginger, many other spices like myrrh, vanilla, cinamon, stick, whipped cream, yeast strains, white wine grapes, gentle alcoholic warmth on palate, very herbal, oat, wheat, barley, corn and other cereal, gooseberry, raisin, pine tree wood, orange, clementine, lime, candid sugar, powder sugar, almond, very sophisticated, complex and assertive, wonderful expirience for a rater, THE BEST BEER I VE RATED SO FAR,
Palate body is full, texture is very complex and apart from being oily it seems quite dry, carbonation on palate is medium, finish feel is very astringent with gentle alcoholic warmth rds (224), USA Dec 26, 2008 A lovely, cloudy golden body with a white head, citrus aroma, and a big well rounded taste. Taste was sweet, with a bit of a bitter finish, cereal, herbs, and a nice fruitiness. Slightly oily on the palate, nice carbonation! Lemony, yeasty flavor with bitter hops throughout. SkyCop32 (286), Morlautern, Germany Dec 20, 2008 This was a golden orange with a nice white head and lacing on the glass(bought the glass too, very nice). This has a good clean crisp flavor with fruits and malts and yeast on the end helping the beer be smooth. The alcohol content seems to work perfectly with the taste and neither overwhelm the other. This is as good as some of the trappist beers.
