Servida en The Drunk Monk (Mataró). Siempre he sido un gran amante de las tripel y esta es excelente. Quizas un tanto afrutada pero muy buena.

Aromas of bread, hops, and some grains and spice, yum. Pours a murky golden color with an ample white head that sits very nicely on top for a while. The taste is very easy drinking with slight spice notes, and almost perfect balance between malt and hop. The beer is slightly sweet, but not overly so like many Tripels. High carbonation and light body. Overall, a very nice Belgian, albeit a lighter version than expected. Not bad at all.

Golden blond beer with a firm white foam head. Beautiful aroma of hops, floral, some citrus and spice. Flavour is sweet, good bitter hop touch, orange, spice and pronounced malts. Dry finish, spices with a nice hop touch. Nicely balanced. I didn’t drink this beer for a while since a very disappointing bottle a few years back, but this one makes up for it again and then some. Nice spice notes on the nose. Pours a golden yellow witha thin white head that rapidly dissipates. Nice warming quality although the mouthfeel is a little thin. Does have some linger to it.

18 April 2011, bottle. yellow, slightly hazy w/ occasional bubbles. nice, soft nose. lemon meringue. and alcohol. and i almost want to say it smells fizzy, if that is possible. i kind of want to say some kind of lemon cleaner aroma instead of lemon meringue. and there is a faint barnyard hay element in the background. med/full body and moderately fizzy. taste is a lemon/lemon meringue tripel with an alcohol component that i wouldn’t think was 8%.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2011 Re-rating - much more intense on the taste this time and this is reflected in an increase in Taste and Overall marks. Original Rating 18/04/11 (8,3,7,4,15) 33cl bottle. Poured initially clear but then turned a hazy yellow. There is a little head and it hangs around. The nose is lemon meringue, 100%. The taste has more creamy lemons. The palate has a big structure, a very creamy texture and it finishes with a clean zingyness. Overall, a lovely beer!

One of my favorite tripels... A nice hint of fruity flavor, yet not overly sweet. Good looking golden color. Can drink this every day.
