It pours a very bright gold that is clear with a nice white head, minimal lacing. It smells very sweet and hoppy, notes of citrus. The tatse is surpisingly sweet with notes of fruit and hops.

Old birthday gift I finally opened. Highly carbonated with a frothy white head on light, copper/yellow beer. Aroma is clean oat and wheat with a light clove and stale lager influence. Taste is clean sweet malt up front followed by light raisin, an off-fruit tinge, and a very dry finish that leaves some sweet malt/raisin lingering. Light and somewhat dry in the mouth. Nothing mind blowing but extremely drinkable with a great mouth feel.

bottle@home: smells sweet of yeast, banana’s & freshly baked bread, tastes of bitter hop, sweet yeast, honey, distinct spices, citrus,… the aftertaste is sublime, consisting by bitter hops at first followed by sweet fruits (including banana), cloves, honey,… exceptional balance //// draft: very different on-tap, way less balanced, sweetness starts dominating, honey, yeast, banana’s, nice but somewhat destroys the balance & lessens the aftertaste down to the point that only some minor bitterness & spice is left in it, balance is this beer’s strong point, still good & worth trying //// (rating is for bottle version)

Aroma has nectarines and hops. Appears a light gold and slightly hazy with a very small head. Taste is very sweet with hints of underripe bananas and butter. Very clean feeling with heavy carbonation. Overall, a very refreshing tripel.

The best part of this beer is the aroma- cloves, banana, light fruits, and fresh bread. The beer has a HUGE fluffy white head. the flavor is a little astringent, and has an incredibly fizzy mouthfeel, this is like a classy, organized Duvel. Bottle from Moon Wine and spirits in Nashville, TN.

LIVE RATING. On tap at Gollem Proeflokaal, Overtoom, Amsterdam on 17th March 2011. Bright gold with thin head quick to leave a ring and hardly any lacing. A spicy sweet and partly hoppy aroma. Liquid is hoppy, with some honey sweetness and a delicate smoky touch which I love. Touches of cheese. Rich earthy pungency late leaving a honeysweet yet also hoppy, aftertaste. Mouthfeel is smooth and dry. Very interesting beer, would happily drink again.
