Aroma is lots of banana and clove from the yeast, a little bit of bread, and some slight hops and candi sugar. Flavor matches quite well, and the alcohol was never noticed at all. Not much tartness from the wheat, but the earthiness is there. Overall a very drinkable, dangerous tripel. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA

Biscuit malt flavor with a bit of cider and fruity esters thrown in for good measure a long with a hint of hop bitterness and alcohol. Although noticable, the alcohol flavors were not overpowering. Excellent mouthfeel made this a really fine, complex ale. Bradrcr (779), Renton, Washington, USA

Pretty nice for a trippel, but would have more bite if carbonation were higher. phishpond417 (1914), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Pours a vibrant golden colour with a large white top. Carbonation is excellent, awesome retention in the head. Aroma is slightly sweet, and somewhat floral with a little bit of carmel undertones. taste is fabulous- acidic, citrusy- lots of tropical fruit- orange, lime, and a faint peach. Pours a light gold in color with a huge two inch frothy head. It was served in a Tripel Karmeliet glass as well. Smell is citrus and spice. Taste is light fruit, some spice and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is full and creamy. This is an absolutely delicious tripel. sparkster (17), , Spain
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 30, 2008 This one is possibly the belgian tripel ive enjoyed the most. Pours very golden , head is quite big and looks creamy. This one has a huge lot of spices, really over my head to disntinguish them all. Non fermented malt makes this beer quite sweet, but thats not a problem for me. Theres definitely some orange there. Wheat can be felt in the aroma and maybe in the finnish too, and alcohol is quite present, but not a show stopper.
A superp beer, if you ask me.
