3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 LtDan (1415) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - OCT 6, 2010
Appearance: Pours a vibrant yellow gold with a thin white ring.
Aroma: Vanilla, banana and honey.
Taste: Vanilla, honey, spicy fruity yeast.
Mouthfeel: Thick and syrupy.
Overall: A very enjoyable Tripel. It didn’t have the typical earthy spicy tones I associate with classic Tripels.

In bottle; great aroma of citrus and floral. Taste was similar with orange peel and floral notes (A little too floral for me personally). Overall a good beer.

Bottle. Pours a dim but solid gold with a rich and frothy head. Richy spice, citrus and yeast nose. Very floral and yeasty taste with a fair amount of sweet. Slightly dry in the swallow.. great brew.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 benjaminbier (44) - Oregon, USA - SEP 26, 2010
UPDATED: NOV 19, 2010 Tap, fluffy little foam, effervescent. Golden straw color, very clear. Sugary floral taste, floral like some clover, yummy clover juice. Malty, a little grassy. Super yum yums. Eatery high nite, grape skins, and lightly sweet-bread.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 gururyan (304) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - SEP 25, 2010
Pours from the bottle a clear, light yellow. Medium head, moderate head. Whoa, this is fruity. Pretty good, this is my second bottle...seems a bit overrated in my opinion. I doubt I will buy it again.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 kerolasa (353) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 18, 2010
Color is somewhere in between lager and dark lager. Head tells that this beer is strong in alcohol, but it’s proper and lasts decent time. Allmost no smell, which is small surprice, only a bit of citrus and sweetness. Taste is complex mixture of weisen like aromas, sweetness and some light sourness. Overall this is great beer.
4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 RyansRatings (43) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 17, 2010
Pours a pale gold colour with slight greenish tinge. Stacks of head, which is constantly refreshed by stacks of micro fine carbonation. Smells glorious. Sweet wheat, a stack of spices, porridge and some husky malt lingering. The palate is rich, rewarding and satisfying. Sweet and spicy wheat and malt initially, that fades to savoury soy, ginger, honey and spices. Great length and a superb spicy aftertaste. World class. I’ll have to buy another Westmalle to try it again, but I’m thinking that the Karmeliet is almost reaching into the dizzying heights that Westmalle achieves.
