A surprising, skunky smell that belies the beer inside. It’s a light, cloudy yellow look. Has a round, slightly bitter taste with a nice hint of citrus. Very good.

Fruity aroma, thick bubbly head that does not subside quickly. Hazy golden appearance. Slightly sour in taste with a fruity finish. For a first time foray into the abbey tripel style this beer did not disappoint.

Blond hazy color with rich white head. Nice fruity and malty aroma along with a fine taste of caramel- some fruits and alcohol. A very nice beer if you ask me. A little expensive( at least here it was around 4 euros) but I’ve paid more and this one was worth it.

75 cl. bottle. Clear golden color with a generous rocky head. Bananas with some grainy malts in the aroma. Phenolics come through in the taste finishing off dry.

Pours a mostly clear amber with mondo head that dissipates into a thin film skimming across the surface. Faint aroma of yeast and malt, with very slight fruitiness (apricot) Thin mouthfeel with ever so slight effervescence--about what you’d expect for the style. As with model tripels, taste is kinda funky--yeast and malts predominate, slight fruitiness (banana, apricot), with little hint of alcohol and practically no hops. A fine tripel.

Beautiful blond-gold colour with a loose white head which rises high but falls quickly, leaving behind only a little lacing. Highly carbonated and effervescent, this beer is best drunk below cool on hot days. Fresh aroma of hops, light caramel or white sugar, butter, and some softly fried onions. It is joined by a tart yeast presence and a touch of lemon. Mouth feel is fizzy at first, but this calms down to a good creamy texture. Taste is much like the aroma, but the hops come into play and there’s more of that lovely Belgian yeast. Sweet, but not sickly. Overall it’s a very well balanced beer - a main stay really, and one that it is very hard to find too many faults with. As it warms the malts widen to give off the taste of the three grains. Good stuff.

nice perfectly clear light golden colour. nice legs, too, with a white frothy head and thick, crunchy lacing. a truly mixed bag of tastes, here -- cotton candy, bubble gum, banana, fried plantain, cinnamon sugar, maple syrup over pancakes. wow. quite sweet, but the alcohol lightens it up enough that it doesn’t come off as saccharine or too heavy. nice tripel, well worth trying for the crazy melange of flavours. even nicer on draft.

Bottle from grocery store in Schipol airport. Hazy golden blond with moderate carbonated head. Doughy belgian yeast common in triples is obvious, with aromas of coriander and some spice. Tastes a bit acidic and sweet. A bit oily on the tongue. It seems to be lacking something, the flavor just doesn’t seem intense enough for me. Not bad by any means though.
