Suprised at how easy the 750ml bottle went down with me and my brother. If there was anything to be nitpicky about this this beer, it was the sludgey chunks at the bottom. Man that stuff looked like it belonged at the bottom of the Okeefanokee Swamp. But with some cafeful decantation, that sludge stayed where it was supposed to stay.
The beer pours out a beautiful honey golden color with a big bright head with slow dissipation. Aroma of honey, apple juice, cloves, dust, roses, even some slight pepperyness to it. I could go on smelling this for a long time and continue to find new aromas. Mouthfeel is near perfect, not overly carbonated, but just right. Slight stickyness to it. Flavors were just as complext as the aroma. Grassy, yeasty, light fruits, cotton candy, pepper, vanilla, and floral. The alcohol reveals itself with a final nip towards the end and it finishes on a high note." Blom (390), Odense, Denmark

Frutiy-sweet aroma that reminds me of a complex Duvel. The flavours are spicy with notes of orange, citrus and herbs. The alchol lingers for some time, but not in an unplesant way. A great beer!

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 24, 2008 750ml - Best before 12/04/09 - Aroma of funky yeast (almost like a saison), light juicy fruit and spices. Pours transparent gold with a huge white fluffy head and great lacing over cascading bubbles. Flavor is more doughy yeast than funky from the aroma. Still fruity and spicy. Palate is creamy and effervescent with no alcohol bite whatsoever. A fantastic beer all the way around. My non-craft beer drinking in-laws loved it. dkingsella (85), Portland, Oregon, USA

Pours a nice straw/amber color with a huge frothy head that breaks down after a couple of minutes. Leaves some thin lacing that also disappears after a short time. Aroma is earthy. Flavor is interesting with malt and sweet fruity flavors. Some very earthy flavors with plenty of spice...kind of peppery actually. Nice mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation. Nice way to bring in spring...very refreshing. New to the style...I enjoyed it. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a dirty blond color with a nice amount of head. The aroma was very sweet with slight apples. The flavor was yeasty, malty, complex but extremely well balanced. Overall, one of the best beers I’ve ever had. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 18, 2008 Pours a very clear gold (slightly hazy towards the end) with a tall, frothy white head. Aroma of yeast and citrus. Wonderfully smooth beer. No one taste overwhelms, it’s almost like a lightly caramelized piece of fruit. Sweet and malty. The body is very fizzy and gives a very refreshing sensation. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Dumped it inot a tulip glass since it was all that was available and thie is not a beer to drink out of the bottle. There is thick foamy head with a cloudy orange color and some suspended particulate matter in the liquid. The nose is full of honey, oats, and roasted barley. You can really distinguish the belgin yeast on the nose as well. the initial flavor is full of orange zest on top of honey and biter hops and spice. The booze is well hidden initially but not in the finish. The finish is full of lemon zest and pure alcohol.
