There is thick foamy head with a cloudy orange color and some suspended particulate matter in the liquid. The nose is full of honey, oats, and roasted barley. You can really distinguish the belgin yeast on the nose as well. the initial flavor is full of orange zest on top of honey and biter hops and spice. The booze is well hidden initially but not in the finish. The finish is full of lemon zest and pure alcohol. Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Bottle. Light, straw colored, with a light haze, huge head. Aroma is very complex, sweet, malt touch of spice. Flavor is also fairly complex, malty, light fruitiness with hints of honey and spice. Touch of yeastiness. Smooth and silky, refreshing. marton504 (10), USA

Clear orange-gold with a creamy, lasting head. solid aroma of banana, yeast, spice, and alcohol. The flavor is spicy and yeasty with a lot of alcohol, which makes it pretty dry. I’m digging the dryness; makes it very drinkable. Medium body and smooth carbonation. This is very easy and nice to drink, Tripel isn’t my favorite abbey style, but this is pretty tasty. (3.7) rerate: Draught at The Trappist. Huge fruity pineapple any yeast aroma. Fruity yet dry flavor. This really stood out this time. Great beer. Arayaga2 (948), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Golden and clear with minimal white head. Aroma is cidery sweet with a hint of spice. Intensely fizzy mouthfeel makes flavors hard to place. Perhaps this covers taste flaws. This product is really nothing special despite it ratings. jporter (2), Netherlands does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Great tripel grain beer, best taste comes when drank in the original glass. White head with a beautiful golden base. I simply love this beer with its nice fruity taste. The beer tastes quite light aswell! Recommended to all!
