| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 26, 2009 Pours golden pour with quite possibly the biggest head I’ve seen. Very bubbly. Strong aroma of yeast and malts. Flavor of orange peel, malt, and a bit of spice. Nicely balanced and a good mouth feel. Finish remains balanced between sweet and bitter. Very nice beer overall. thirdeye11 (501), Texas, USA

A very effervescent beer. Nose of pepper, grass, oats, and spicy yeast. The taste is an oily, sticky, sweet nectar of the gods with mixtures of white pepper and grains. This beer is very carbonated in a great way, and just delicious. One of the world’s best tripels. SuIIy (1424), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 25, 2009 750ml bottle shared by my brother in law. Pours a bright golden color with a white fizzy head. nose is lightly sweet but with a dry yeasty note mixed in as well. Light straw and grain also present. Palate is smooth with a light dryness; crisp. Flavors of the light sweet malt note and yeast show up and there is a nice crisp feeling. It is not overly syrupy nor overly dry, but both aspects are present. hayduke (1629), Eureka, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 23, 2009 From a 750 ml corked and caged bottle purchased from Paul’ Grocery in McCall, ID, this poured a cloudy apricot color with a big long lasting off-white head and very serious lacing rings. The nose is of ripe fruit with apricot dominating. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is very complex with ripe fruit, caramel, spices, and citrus. An exceptional beer.
