teorn88 (60), , Italy Aug 10, 2009 33cl bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a huge creamy white head. Finely lacing and fully lasting foam. Aroma is quite complex: light malt with some grain, lots of hops with flowers and herbs, and some alcohol too. Flavor is a bit disappointing: bitterness and acidity in the initial flavor, bitterness and alcohol sweetness in the finishing flavor. Light alcoholic and spicy end. Medium bodied with creamy texture and fizzy carbonation. To me, best of this beer is the wonderful aroma of flowers and the incredible head: never seen something as beatiful as this. A better and more complex flavor could make this beer one of my favourites. destruise (1), Keerbergen, Belgium does not count Aug 9, 2009 Overall, one of the better beers that we have in Belgium. Combined with the great glass, it’s a full package! Jownage (2), , Belgium does not count Aug 8, 2009 I drank it out of a 1.5 litre bottle and that made the beer taste very good!! It’s really one of the best blond beers I ever drunk DeadGirl (192), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Aug 7, 2009 On tap at George Keely’s (NYC): Pours crisp and light like a pilsner or lager... but the taste is anything but! Light carbonation- tastes of lemon, coriander, a hint of pepper, grapefruit, strawberries, banana bread... but definitely big on the citrus notes. Not comparable to other tripels I’ve tasted. It’s different- tart, sweet, and the alcohol is extremely well hidden. This is good. judasbeer (230), Budapest, Hungary Aug 7, 2009 Bottle. 8.4% at the back-label. Medium gold with little, but dense white head. Very unique fresh lemony, appleish aroma with coriander spiciness.
Bready malty initial taste with intense clove and coriander edge. Fresh sipcy, citrus based, lively carbonated, mouthfeel with well hidden alcohol. It should be served colder than cellar temperature to get the whole range of flavors.
It’s not a typical tripel, very unique. TheSponge (272), Lynnwood, Washington, USA Aug 6, 2009 1 pint 9.4 fl. oz. bottle purchased at QFC in Harbour Pointe/Mukilteo, WA. Pours a sunny golden color with a white head. Aroma: Fruit and fresh baked bread. Flavor: Tangy, with a hint of citrus, dry finish. Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jul 31, 2009 Nice head. Grapefruit, raspberry nose. Yeasst, white grape flavor. Fizzy carbonation. ljstephenson (111), Lawton, Oklahoma, USA Jul 30, 2009 Gold hazy beer with an active white head, aroma is strong with fruit, mainly strawberries, flavor is super malty, slight tang, good amount of spices, finishes soft and slightly bitter.
