Combined with the great glass, it’s a full package! | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 7, 2009 On tap at George Keely’s (NYC): Pours crisp and light like a pilsner or lager... but the taste is anything but! Light carbonation- tastes of lemon, coriander, a hint of pepper, grapefruit, strawberries, banana bread... but definitely big on the citrus notes. Not comparable to other tripels I’ve tasted. It’s different- tart, sweet, and the alcohol is extremely well hidden. This is good. judasbeer (240), Budapest, Hungary
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Bottle. 8.4% at the back-label. Medium gold with little, but dense white head. Very unique fresh lemony, appleish aroma with coriander spiciness.
Bready malty initial taste with intense clove and coriander edge. Fresh sipcy, citrus based, lively carbonated, mouthfeel with well hidden alcohol. It should be served colder than cellar temperature to get the whole range of flavors.
It’s not a typical tripel, very unique. TheSponge (276), Lynnwood, Washington, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 30, 2009 Bottle: Effervescent golden with a huge fluffy white head. When sediment is disturbed the beer develops a nice glowing cloudy appearance. Great yeasty aroma with a light pale malt sweetness as well- has a spicy phenolic character, honeyish herbal notes, freshly baking bread, wheat- full of nuance. Voluminous effervescent body. It has a hearty flavor with a crisp wheaty base and a hearty oat like presence. Has a bit of yeast character as well. Very dry with spicy phenolics- a bit peppery as well with an herbal balancing hop character. Quite spicy on the back. Everything a Tripel should be- dry, spicy and filled with nuance.
