arhythmt (67), USA Sep 24, 2004 Phenomenal three grain beer...delicious, with a sweet fruity start that leads delicately into a potent, hoppy, slightly alcohol-flavored finish. It’s hard to stop drinking this beer. Have had it on tap at Gollem in Amsterdam and it’s even better that way! GreatLibations (1294), Sasquatcho, Arizona, USA Apr 7, 2006 Pale yellow, full froth with medium length hang time. Ample residual bubbles with champagne bubbles. Candy malt nose. Big fruit flavors yet dry. The wheat really comes through with a hefewiezen character. A complex brew that is well ballanced with a long tastey finish. Enjoy cold or warm. Highly recommended. clevelanddave (1), brooklyn, New York, USA does not count Sep 11, 2007 one of my faviorite beers, abby ale perfection, its not heady, instead a champagne-esque carbination, fruity overtones, and a sneaky, non-overly acholic high gravity techdiver (22), USA Jun 5, 2007 Pours a hazy pale amber with a massive white head that dissipates slowly leaving a solid quarter inch cap.
Nose is of honey and malt with some herbal notes.
Taste is spectacular, this has to be the best Tripel I’ve tried yet. A complex brew that borders on sweet, but not in any derogatory way. Hops affect in a minimal way. Alcohol is perceptible in the finish.
Medium bodied, displays great carbonation.
The most enjoyable Tripel yet. Extremely drinkable, this stuff is awesome. Highly recommended.
WhiteAlePower (91), Long Island, New York, USA Apr 19, 2006 The only reason I did not give this a 20 was because that spot is for my Duvel! This brew was absolutely splendid! Perfectly blonde ale with a great clean head. Excellent smooth yet robust flavour!
