Straw color, fluffy head, banana/clove in the nose, great sweet candy flavor, and tons of good alcohol. FROTHINGSLOSH (2047), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The beer poured a dark golden color with a very large fluffy white head. The aroma is a marvelous mix of sweet ripe fruits. The mouthfeel is thick. The flavor is very sweet with nice light malts, ripe fruits, and moderate spice that I am unable to identify. There is a mild alcohol burn. I will have to try this one again. Extremely pleasant aroma and flavor. Consists mainly of citrus, lemon, cloves and yeasts. A hint of spice also. I haven’t tried too many, but this is by far my favourite Abbey Tripel. It deserves a spot in my top ten. Highly recommended. howazzo (6), Italy does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 21, 2006 cereal, floral, orange, sparkling, white foam, vanilla, banana, lightly sour, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, full body, oily feel, fizzy, long finish, alexanderj (2294), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 8, 2007 Bottle; poured a rich gold with a large white head. Aroma was very nice; of yeast, fruit, orange/citrus and spice. Flavor was very, very good. Had characteristics of a good hef or wit, just amped up a bit. Flavor had sweet sugary components; zesty orange and citrus hints; some mild spicing; and a nice banana, yeasty presence. Nice mouthfeel with some stronger carbonation and alcohol presence in the finish. A top notch and delicious brew; can’t believe I didn’t get around to rating this sooner.
