mikey (320), farmington, Utah, USA Apr 30, 2008 Poured a hazy golden yellow tone with fierce carbonation and a densely packed creamy white head that lasted throughout. The nose was well spiced and sported a wheaty maltiness overlaid with tropical fruits, lemon zest and a peppery spiciness. The taste started with white bread maltiness and wispy yeast notes. A great blend of fruity sweetness like apple, papaya and mango counter the bold spiciness highlighted by the flavors of lemon zest and white pepper balancing it nicely. Zippy hops pop in the finish with a surge of alcohol for good measure. The feel was medium/full bodied with a nice velvety texture. This is a tripel’s tripel, a masterful blending of characters that make it dangerously quaffable. One of the finest examples of the style.
jaghana (12), Strasbourg, France Aug 19, 2008 This yellow cloudy beer is very suprising its full of flavour and very tasty. Smells like a White Beer but the end is very long fruity, malty and floral. Carbonation is soft, very interesting beer. TeamTrappist (134), jericho, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 Tap, poured a clear blonde with little to no head. Nice carbonated and dry with some nice spice notes. Finish was also dry with lingering spice flavor and slightly bitter. Borresteijn (427), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 18, 2008 Bottle. Dark golden with a big fluffy white head. Looks fantastic in its own glass. Aroma is malty sweet, fruity, a little yeast. Flavour is malty, sweet and fruity, alcohol warmth. Slight sour finish, lots of carbonation. Very soft mouthfeel. Excellent tripel. Not nearly as good from tap though, which is way too sweet. charlotte (1163), Vanløse, Denmark Aug 18, 2008 Hazy golden colour with medium head.Aroma is sweet with taste of Mandarin and apricots.Has a high carbonation but still and nice mild finish. mikalooch (14), , New Jersey, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours out a brilliant golden orange. Sweet aroma, almost like candy and ripe fruits, apricots maybe. Very sweet flavor topped off by lemony zing. Very balanced and enjoyable, very drinkable due to being very thin in the mouth. Very good Tripel, definitely tasty.
