Bottle conditioned.
First brewed 1996; claimed to be based on a recipe from 1679 which used wheat, oat and barley.
Tripel Karmeliet is a very refined and complex golden-to-bronze brew with a fantastic creamy head. These characteristics derive not only from the grains used but also from restrained hopping with Styrians and the fruity nature (banana and vanilla) of the house yeast. Aroma has hints of vanilla mixed with citrus aromas. Tripel Karmeliet has not only the lightness and freshness of wheat, but also the creaminess of oats together with a spicy lemony almost quinine dryness.

11.2 to a chalice. Pours lightly cloudy golden with big white head. Floral hops with some citrus and grain. Taste is sweet with some very mild spice--white pepper? Decent finish. Not as good as some tripels, but very drinkable.

Poured from the bottle. Huge head. Cloudy golden yellow. Smells of yeast, orange peel, peach. Taste is wheat, yeast and bubbles up front. Transition to creamy, bready, lemon finish. Finish is fairly crisp with not too much lingering finish. Nice beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: beautiful belgian yeast, peach, a bit honey, Appearance a bit hazy, yellow with quickly disappearing head. Taste: some banana, peach, a bit of alcohol. Very drinkable and well ballanced. A bit too much carbonation.

Light colour and bubbly white head. Poured in a trappistes rochefort glass. Quite fresh, almost citrus taste that hides well the alcohol. Acid palate. Quite bubbly in the mouth too.

Pure gold, persistent creamy top, vanilla, banana, full body, some citrus, long finish. The commercial description really says it all

Slightly hazy yellow in glass. Nose is sweet with apple and pear. Slightly bitter in taste, with more of that apple peel and pear, as well as some breadiness. Picked up very slight clove. Dry finish. Very enjoyable and a great tripel.

This beer is one of my favorite beers of all time. It is definitely the best triple on the market. The taste, aroma, and fluffy white head are fantastic and fit the style perfectly . One of my all time go to session beers

One of the most famous Belgian triple, in worldwide distribution and a must have for a beer styles explorer. Apart from this fact itís also a high quality product and I enjoyed every single drop of it. Class!

Light yellow looks with big fluffy head on top. Some lacing is there too. Aroma has typical yeast aromas, spices, some fruits also. Taste has spices, yeast, lemon, some fruity flavors and warming alcohol in the end. Very high carbonation and full body. I think Iím not that into tripel as a style.

The pale golden colour is not as interesting as in Quadrupels. The head is very creamy. The initial sharp taste quickly becomes pleasently honey-like.
