Pours red in color with no foam to speak of. Caramel aroma and some spiciness. Medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Spicy flavor with some caramel. Not unique or complicated. Mild bitter finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is very malty, from the first whiff to the last sip. Not much sweetness, but lots of chewiness. Okay, just not my bag.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 8, 2010 Draught at the brewery. Another nice brew from these guys. Dark brown pour with a pillowly, off-white head. Light aroma of bitter baker chocolate and some dusty malt. Flavour is more bitter chocolate, bready malts, a little sugar sweetness plus some grassy hops pop up in the finish.
