3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the brewpub and in the adjoining AYCE, 31/10/13. Slim-necked brilliant gold draped with white. Delicate passion fruit and lychee nose with minor explosions of grapefruit and guava. Lean and brittle in the Transatlantic English style; soapy flowers, grapefruit, lime and curry leaf with fine lean biscuit malt accompaniment. Back of tongue linger. None of this peachy Crystal malt US shit but bang in the Oakham ballpark and crying out for a session.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
~ 16 ounce draft at the Casino Bar at the Main Street Station, Las Vegas, Nevada. The pour is a lightly hazed orange yellow with a small off white head. The aroma is fresh toasty malt and soft floral hops. The taste is a great blend of the light toast mildly sweet malt and the floral light grapefruit citrus hops. The palate is medium to light bodied, with fine carbonation and a dry lightly bitter finish. This was a subdued version of a Pale Ale but the balance and freshness made the beer work. I enjoyed this, clean and tasty.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2013 Tap @ brewpub 16/04/12. Pours a clear copper with a small, off-white head. Leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma is hops, passion fruit, loads of pine. Taste is lots of pine as well with some caramel there to balance it. Palate is refreshing, quite carbonated. Tasted so good after a long walk in the 30 celsius degree weather.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, golden colored body with a thin, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a solid lacing throughout. Aroma is pretty nice. Citrusy with a moderate cereal malt sweetness. Some earth and herbal hops with a light resin along with a touch of caramel. Flavor is similar. Nice orange and grapefruit citrus, earthy hops with a lightly sweetened, pale malt and hint of caramel to balance. Finishes dry with a moderate bitterness and leaves a medium length aftertaste. Medium-light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid pale ale. Nicely hopped, citrusy, and well balanced with a light sweetness from the malts. Very enjoyable and another pleasant Vegas surprise!
