3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Soft pale straw yellow pour with one finger of white head. Soft citrusy nose. Green and leafy hops with a slight onion component. Green in the flavor and a tad grassy. Strong bitterness/astringent. Very nice upfront but it becomes a little homebrew-ish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Ethan! Pours a slightly hazy orangish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of citrus and passion fruit with some underlying sweet grains. Flavor is more grapefruit forward with a bit of earthy passion fruit and citrus backing as well as a touch of grain.

Draft at 5 Church Restaurant in Charlotte, 11/19/14
This was a solid IPA. Not a total standout in the style, but it has a good citrus hop aroma and flavor. There’s a floral component as well. I much preferred this to the Baby Maker, and after one of those, drank these for the rest of the evening.

A resiny good piney American IPA. High alphas in here for sure. Juicy citrus throughout with a middling bitter finish. Nice solid light malt backbone with plenty of toffee gives the hops a firm foundation to work upon. Long fir tree finish.

Draught at the Triple C, Charlotte, NC.
Clear golden colour with a small white head.
The aroma is strong with NZ hops, citrusy hops, mild sourness, white wine, bitterness and some caramel malty notes. Bitterness, resin, grapefruit and some maltiness. Bitterness stays.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: Draft at The King’s Kitchen. It pours a clear gold color. Strong hop nose with bits of mint and herbal notes. The flavor follows suit with plenty of hop goodness coming along. Smooth on the tongue with a light bit of bready malt in play with the hops leading to medium bitter finish. Nice little brew.

This is a good, solid IPA. Lot’s of huge citrus flavors like you’d expect... very nice example of what a West Coast IPA should be. It’s standard brewery fare at this point...but you shouldn’t pass it up.
