3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with a thick beige head. Light fruit and malty nose with some caramel. Malty and caramelly flavor with a bit of fruit before a sweet finish. Didn’t taste overly boozy for a big beer.

Sampler from bottle at 2014 Price Hill Beer Fest, tasted on February 16, 2014. Dark mahogany hue, strong boozy nose, smooth but flavorful bourbon/vanilla/malt flavor. The abv is quite noticeable. Very enjoyable beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mild treacle and currant nose. Clear ruby brown, enormous tan head. I totally misjudged the pour and it overflowed a bit. Medium body, warm. Currant and plum on a malty, cereal base. Well rounded, balanced, and multi-dimensional. More fruity than most scottish/scotch ales, but that isn’t so bad. A couple bombers of this tasty brew will set you right.

22 ounce bottle poured a dark brown color with aromas of nuts, dark pitted fruit, booze, light wood and some earth. Flavors were caramelized dark fruit with some nut dipped in booze,a solid beer overall.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample at Listermann. Pours a cloudy dark brown-amber with a small off-white head that sticks around for a while. Notes of dark fruits (berries, dates, raisins), caramel, brown sugar, candied nuts, and booze. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, boozy mouthfeel that warms the palate. Moderate carbonation. Big, strong Scotch ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep dark amber with a tall (3 finger) head that stays. Smooth malty butterscotch flavor that lingers on the tongue. The bottle says to pour At 50 degrees into a snifter glass. I've been to Listerman's in Cincinnati and spoken with their beer master about triple digit brand.

Pours dark muddy brown with red hue. Small tan head and no lacing. Aroma of Carmel malts and fruit. Taste is same with molasses and alcohol. Good carbonation, but alittle too syrupy.
