22 oz bottle originally tasted in 2013. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel malts, bourbon, cinnamon and additional spices, wood, good winter warmer worth checking out.

>> Pours a full haze murky amber. Hefty 100% cinnamon nose. Taste is tart lemon, dry cinnamon spoon challenge, plastic. Wut.

Bottle pour copper with amber hue. Nose big bourbon with a little underlying gym sock. Taste pleasing mix of cinnamon, spice, bourbon, vanilla, and sweet malt. Taste much better than it smells.

1/03/2014: Listermann White Death... Ugh, cooked apples and too much boozy sweetness; not pleasing and not good. Draught (sample) at Listermann Brewing Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rating #12 for this beer.

Cinnamon, stewed apples, and bourbon nose, not terribly volatile or strong. Slightly vegetal, tomatoes. Cloudy brown, thin yellow head. Bourbon is more prominent on the palate, but still not hot. Cherries at midpalate and apple core in the finish. Good balance and transitions. Tastefully done and another example of how the use of spice can prevent a beer from drinking overly boozy.

22 oz. bottle via local trade. Thanks, Roger! Pours a clear mahogany with a small ring for a head. The aroma has a ton of cinnamon, with some vanilla, brown sugar, dried fruit, pepper, and very dry grains. Flavor of cinnamon, caramel, dates, oak, and pepper. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, sweet mouthfeel. Almost a year on, the cinnamon is drying other things out and overwhelming it, but itís still good. Iím going to be interested to try it fresh if they barrel age this one again.

Reddish brown pour, tan head. Lovely notes if cinnamon and lots if bourbon, vanilla and oak. Sweet but not cloying. Really damn good!

Deep amber pour with light head. Nose is mild spice and notes of bourbon. Flavor is more bourbon and more cinnamon. Decent spice without being overdone. Smooth and drinkable body, but a little much for summer

22 ounce bottle, 2012 vintage. Served in a chalice, the beer pours a hazy reddish/coper color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like cinnamon, bourbon, vanilla, and some bready malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, with the cinnamon and bourbon flavors being strongest (but neither one is overpowering). Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit creamy with moderate carbonation. Itís also smooth and easy to drink. I liked this brew, hopefully Listermann will brew another batch next year. $12.49 a bottle.

Hazy brownish color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of cinnamon, caramel, light roast, vanilla, wood, and bourbon. Taste of caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, wood, and bourbony alcohol in the finish.
