Draft at the taproom for Chickow! day. Looks like chickow... slightly hazy brown with a small light tan head. The maple is super sweet in the aroma. Some nutty aromas in the background with chocolate and candy. The flavor is a nice bite of maple syrup, that fades to the nutty and sugary flavors that you expect from the Chickow! Nice.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2014 Draft at the RBWG Grand Tasting - thanks for the keg! Pours a hazy amber color with a finger of beige head. Notes of maple, vanilla, hazelnut, brown sugar, tobacco, and toffee. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, smooth mouthfeel. Great maple aftertaste. Re-Rate: Huge maple in the nose, almost a bit too much, and more balance in the flavor. Affirming prior rating, but switching things around a bit.

pours dark brown with a thin tan head. aroma is like pancakes with maple syrup and a touch of cocoa. flavor is roasty with dark chocolate and lots of maple...very authentic maple syrup flavor...some dry leaves. mouthfeel is full and very silky/slick with a roasty dry finish. i prefer this version to the PB chickow...this tastes much more authentic.

Had at RBWG grand tasting
Hazy dark brown with a big beige head and lots of lacing. Smells like a maple doughnut. Flavors of maple and sugar
Wow very nice, if you like maple bars this is your beer

2014 RBWG Grand Tasting. Dark brown body under a tan head. This has the aroma of a maple chocolate candy. The flavor is sweet and follows the aroma. A bit too sweet for my tastes.

On tap at the RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours a deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of maple with sweet grains and a touch of grassiness. Flavor has a pancake and maple note with a bit of bread backing.

RBWG14 Trip Rating #160.Growler shared at the Downtown Inn Saturday PM Bottle Share. Pours a clear dark red-brown color with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of nuts, maple, herbal hops. The taste is heavy maple syrup, herbal hops. Medium balanced. Sweet but decent balance.

Growler filled from a keg at the RBWG grand tasting (thanks Beau). Deep mahogany pour with beige head. Full, robust nose of cherry wood and loads of maple syrup with hazelnuts. Fucken good flavor of maple ice cream, hazelnuts, and pancakes. Velvety but thin body full of maple syrup and pancakes. This is like being served the best maple syrup with just enough alcohol warmth to let you know you can drink it and things will be ok. I mean fuck.

Small swing cap bottle filled at RBWG and drank on Thursnowday 5 days later. Poured a medium syrupy deep mahogany brown with a smaller foamy beige head. Aroma and flavor are great, loads of maple syrup, touch of hazelnut and you can even imagine a pat of butter. This is like sitting with a stack of pancakes in front of you at Perkins, really really nice. Body is medium and syrupy but finishes suprsingly dry for the sweet A/F. Really wish I filled up my mini growler with this because it deserves to be shared.

Sampled at 2014 RBWG Grand Tasting. Smells really good. Like maple syrup on a chocolate waffle. I mean, It taste fine, no complaints, but it smells great. So good...
