3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2004)
This was an odd one - quite simply, it smelt off. Yet it tasted pretty darn good. Very full flavoured, with no sharp peaks. Lingering bitterness provided the finish. 2nd best of the fest, for us. Should re-rate.
