Cask. Pours a medium copper with a white head. Dry, medium body, mid to high bitterness, low CO2. Malty taste, caramel, toffee, hops, honey, chestnut, lightly roasted. Quite alright, but nothing remarkable. A solid, traditional cask ale. (2013-02-11)

Cask dispense into an English half pint jug at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green, Jan ’12. Pours a clear copper to amber colour with a thin white head. Sweet faint malts in the aroma, but not a lot coming out of the glass in terms of smell. On the palate, toffee, citrus - orange/grapefruit, fairly sweet tasting and not too bitter. Medium in body.

Cask at the Harp. Dark amber colour with frothy off white head. Aroma is sweet and yeasty, bit of grainy malt too. Taste is yeasty, touch of fruit and some malt. Quite boozy feeling considering it is only 5%. Not wild about it, but was perfectly ok.

(Cask at Angleterre, 20120306) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had toffee, hops and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were herbalness, malts, toffee, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, herbal and bitter. Quite complex taste and not only nice.

Cask, The Crown, Nuneaton, 14/01/12. Deep bronze under a slim white top. Soft, figgy hazelnut aroma. Soapy hop under soft, slightly lactic nuttiness. Chalky mouthfeel. Decent malty bitter- no more.
