Cask; Regular.
A complex combination of pale and dark malts provide this rich, dark beer with it’s subtle chocolaty aftertaste.

Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Quite dark ruby colour. Chewy, fruity malt in the aroma. Treacle and toffee on the palate with enough robust bitter hops to provide excellent balance. Firm mouthfeel and full body. A nicely brewed ale.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Reading BF. A dark brown coloured beer with a ruby hue. The aroma is malty and bready. The taste is fruity, malty and bready. Quite Autumnal and tasty.

Cask Conditioned at Reading BF 2006. Ruby. Sweet malt and fruit. Not a lot of complexity in the flavour but nice all the same.

Cask @ Reading 06: Amber with some nice caramel in the nose. Toffee, gentle fruits and earthy hops. Not bad.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. Very dark reddish brown colour with lasting bubbly beige head. Bit roasted on the aroma, bit of toffee. Very drinkable. Good malt/hop balance. Satisfying. Even a bit of ginger. Hop is nice

Gravity Cask @ Guide Dog Beer Festival. Lots of roasty malt flavours leading into a bittersweet finish which seems to be lacking something

Typical British ale to look at, red in colour when held up to the light. Boy, it hit the spot though. Beautiful smooth mouthfeel from just the right carbonation. No edgy demanding flavours but full malty, hoppy. Enough in all departments to get me straight back to the bar for another. What de Koninck could be if it was naturally conditioned.

Cask. Dark brownish red "see-through". Licoracy pleasant fruitish aroma. Smooth, a bit metallic malty flavour. Sticky mouthfeel afterwards. Bitter in finish and aftertaste.
