Handpull at The Harp (Chandos). Deep brick red, clear, small creamy tan head. Solid roast aroma, some sour fruit. Taste is more bitter (herbal) but I think more sour than intended - a bit off-putting. Slick, still, quick finishing .... yet another "meh", mostly from the excess acidic tartness overpowering the roast.

Cask @ The Coal Hole. Deep mahogany with a small, creamy white head. The nose is woody strawberry malts, brown sugar. The taste is red apple, rich wood polish, dusty nuts. Fermenting plums and toffee. Quite yeasty. Medium body, soft. Overall, there’s a bizarre yeastiness to this beer that didn’t sit well with me.
