Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading at 3.4% ABV. Chestnut in colour with a thin translucent head; sweet earthy malt aroma; medium bodied with weak fruit flavours to start then some dry caramel; light hops to finish with a touch of smoke and stewed vegetables.

Cask handpull at William Morris, JDW, Hammersmith. Copper, lasting beige head. Some malt biscuit some hop on finish. Not bad for a 2.7% boys bitter but lacking something in the middle like some malt on the swallow. Bit acidic on finish too.
